Korn

Coming into this show, I felt that this would be another one of those promo shows that the band will be a half hour late, play a few new songs and a couple of old favorites and just go through the motions. As far as the setlist, I was right. As far as being a half hour late, I was right. But going through the motions, I was wrong. Korn came to play.

After hearing the last couple of CD's, this was a band leaving its prime far behind. And with a new untitled CD out, this was a band that needed to prove that it is still a top draw. Not an easy task when two original members are gone (or on hiatus). They came out like a hungry new band eager for a breath of new life. One song played after the next without any audience interaction until the last song where they thanked the crowd. People certainly got their money's worth from the free promo show.

Only time will tell if their new CD will bring them back from the dustbin, but if they're going to keep playing as a hungry band, they might be able to salvage thier reputation as a top concert draw.
