O.A.R. debuts their newest CD "Stories of a Stranger" in New York's newest venue the Nokia Theatre.
O.A.R. began by playing their new CD in its entirety. Several guests including Colin Smith and Lenny Pickett helped stopped by to celebrate Marc Roberge's birthday (with a sing-along and cake). Old favorites rounded out the second half of the night including a rendition of Peter Gabriel's Sledgehammer to which the kids in the audience had no clue that it was a cover song.
While a rock show should be held in the dingiest of places, the new Nokia Theatre is the premier place for a rock concert in the 21st Century. The state of the art sound system, extremely clean bathrooms and comfortable plush seats with cup holders make it seem like you're going to a movie rather than a rock show; nonetheless, I think I may have found my new favorite venue.
