Tankian is more than a poet, an activist and a musician. He is a showman with flair and style. From having his backup band come out in top hats, to naming them the Flying Cunts of Chaos, Tankian knows how to thoroughly entertain a crowd. And when a crowd comes to hear classics from his former band, gets new songs instead they leave the venue happy, then Tankian has done his job. Tankian basically played his entire new album give or take a song, with the crowd singing and jumping along with the band. He's having a great time, the crowd is having a great time, he plugs his Axis of Justice cause, and that pretty much sums up the evening.

Kicking off the evening was the other co-founder of the Axis of Justice. Tom Morello's folk-music alter ego, the Nightwatchman, featured himself, an acoustic, a harmonica and a microphone. What Morello lacks in vocal ability is made up for by his sheer passion. He truly believes in what he says, which is great, but his political rants are tiresome. Then again, it wouldn't be Morello if he weren't being political.
